It is He Who has sent amongst the Unlettered an apostle from among themselves, to rehearse to them His Signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom,- although they had been, before, in manifest error;- Al-Jumaah Verse 2.

Ethic-branch of moral philosophy

The study of ethic field can divided into three major categories. Metaethics, normative ethic and applied ethic. When talking about moral theories, we can consider whatever it is teleology(Bentham), deontology (Kant) or virtue ethics (Aristotle). Generally, the outline of morality is like this: motive-act-consequences.
According to Barbara McKinnon in her book (2001), there is no standard acceptance principles behaviour between what is wrong and what is right. Al-Ghazali and Ibnu Miskawaih say, ethics is from spontaneous action, do the thing without thinking. Thus, the culcation of moral values can be obtained by practice, pactice and practice until it may becomes a habit.
Individual morality according to Immenual Kant, you must do the right thing to others as you make it to yourself and making harmful to you or other people is sinful. Consequences is emphasize. Which theories are the best? Ethic fields from Islamic perspective are more comprehensiveness, compatibility in whatsoever situation. Well, what do you think?
